    My 98 M3 vs. Boxter, and S2000

Do any of you guys know if i would stand a chance against a Boxter or a S2000. I just got my M3 and didn't race any of this cars yet. I have a 98 M3 Coupe 5spd.(all stock). If you guys raced any of this cars before with your M3, let me know of the outcome. I spanked a brand new IS 300, with no problem.

    Thanks,

Your car is significantly faster than a Boxster. As far as the S2000, a Boxster S and that should run neck and neck, and your car will edge out both by a bit. - Beau

I'm pretty sure you can smoke the boxster and the S2000. They're both good cars, especially the S2000, but they're not fast enuf for the M3

My girl friend has a 2001 S2000, and is a pretty goof driver, but I always smoke her. The torque of the M blows away the S. If you are rolling about 40 or 50 and then both hit it, it is a little harder to get away, but you can still beat them.

I got a 97 Bmw ///M3 and I got a Tri - Flow exhaust, intake, and a lot of parts that i changed through my warranty because i know a warranty manager. I raced an S2000 in the summer of 2001 and he blew his rear diff. We raced from light to light 3 times and i beat him. As i said in one of my previous posts i know how to launch an m3 without spinning at all. Which is a great advantage. A porche boxter my friend in a 1995 m3 automatic beat, i dont think you should have a problem beating these cars ( if you know how to drive that is) And by the way, i dont see anything special in racing an IS300 lexus. Although it does Sorta hang with a 95 M3 automatic because i raced my friend's car with my sisters yellow Is300 and it was back and forth. I beat him a few times and he beat me a few times.
