Don't race the '03 500 SL (add - AMG)

I was heading home the other night about !:00 Am when I noticed something closing fast in my rear view mirror. I could not make out what it was, but seeing the headlights were the Bi-Xenons and they were set very low and very wide I knew it was something hot. It closed on me right to my bumper, being it was the middle of the night and no one was on the road it got me a little nervous so I moved to the middle lane to let him pass. To my shock he moved over with me. I now was pissed at this **** head and decided "it was on". I figured I would drop the hammer on him and that would be that. Well not quite, I could not pull away an inch @ 120.130,135 mph and still could not shake him. Before I knew it he was right next to me and I finally made out it was a new 500 SL. The driver was a young black male, we made eye contact he smiled, flashed the peace sign and took off like a shot at 140 mph!!!!!!!!!. I had never driven that fast for that long in my life, it was a rush, but freakin nuts.

Dam I knew they were fast.............but I didn't know they were THAT fast.......any ideas on how the handling is on that ride?

500sl's are cruisers of high speed. in those numbers on a hwy, you're in his territory. i bet it was a rush tho. :thumbsup:

sounds like the new amg.. those things are way to heavy to be rollin on ya so easily.. now the kompressor would definitly make it ugly.. hhehe.. ahh well.. ask him how much he payed for his car.. hahahah

Even thou the benz is heavy it's still quick......the rents have an E320 it's an inline 6 and this car is QUICK.......on the highway it's even better.......too bad the handling is crap....

Now that I think about it , I briefly saw four big exhaust pipes on it which I think means the AMG SL , I read they have 400 + HP. For $100,000 plus it better be a rocket and cook dinner as well.

add another 100 hp to ur estimation.. its 500 hp... yeah.. the AMG looks sweet.. and it would definitly leave you thinking ur slow.. haha.. i would never race one of those..



we have learned a valuble lesson from this experience.. think before you race.. hahahhaha :banghead:
