Buyer says excellent condition,I really want this car soo badly, im checking it out tommorow but are there any major differences with OBD I and OBDII . I plan to use this as a toy/project car, so how is this going to affect modifications?



Also how reliable is this model year. i plan to have compression and leak tests but is there anything else i should look out for?

well with regards the the OBD I/II.. since you are going to be modifying the car.. ur gonna want OBD I.. so ya made a good choice.. OBD I is much easier to mod... as for problems.. i don't know of any.. then again, i own a 99, so i wouldn't no much about it...

good year. i would look for basic problems.....water pump, radiator, etc. since you already have plans for a compression tests.. ..if everything looks good, have a certified bmw tech to go over it. offer him $15,500. and negotiate to $16K or to what you think is fair price after inspection. good luck.
