Which car is a better car to get?

OMG; M5! come on! DODGE compared to BMW?! HAHA. when you're speaking in the price range of these cars....price doesn't matter for your taste......



Viper: Speed,Head-turner, wide @$$ tires, big engine



M5: Saves more gas, more rare, Speed, Handling, 4-doors (carries more babes), Technology, Real leather(not pleather), M symbol, Xenon lights, Angel Eyes, Nav system, Luxury....I can go on.... a car that you can drive to any occasion....wedding or to show off....

Well I would have to say M5.......but your at a bmw forum.........so what did you expect? haha....I just like it more.......Vipers are nice to have but you can't get a comfortable drive out of it.....M5 it's comfy even when your taking a a sharp turn really really really fast so I would go with an M5:beer:

I would say M5, but if your considering buying either car, I would just wait until BMW rolls out their V10 version M5. It will probably make just as much power as the Viper, if not more, considering Mercedes is already making well over 400 horsepower beasts with over 500 lb/ft. of torque, albeit with forced induction. Leave it up to BMW to equal or top that with a naturally aspirated powerplant! Of course, if they decide to go the forced induction route also, Mercedes might have to start putting quad turbos in their AMG models to keep up.

The new Viper is 500 HP 500 TQ. IF this is an everyday car, go for the M5, if it is a sunny weekend drive, then Viper would be the way to go. You can't keep an M5 for sunny weekend days, what is the point?

Go read the car and driver article from about 2-3 monthes ago...just go to the site and do a search for viper. You have to wear pants to drive the viper etc....it is absolutely hilarious. It sounded like you wouldn't want to be in it for extended periods of time.

m5 all the way. i've heard some vipers around town that sounds horrible. m5 is such a complete car.

Read my post on racing the Viper ACR , I have driven it a number of times and each time it exhausts me after 20 min of hard driving. The AC ****s ,the exhaust sounds like a UPS truck due the cycl firing order on 5 cycl banks rear exhaust sounds better ,most annoying is the pedals are way offset to the left , so much that I have to actually sit completely on my left ass check to get in aliignment with them. Oh and the interior smells like burning glue after a hour in the car.

Hey erikM3, why does the interior smell like burning glue after an hour in the car? I heard about the pedals being shifted to the left, but I thought your body could get used to that position. Is it that bad ? See, I drive an M3 right now, but I wanted something with a little more muscle for a change. Maybe I'll wait for the V10 M5, sounds awesome :rockband: !

hey boost , wait for the new M5 or better go score a Z8 today and that would fit the bill perfect It is very rare ,almost as fast and is built by BMW. The AC or lack thereof heats up the interior fast then the heat the car produces seep into the car and it,s basically hot glued seams and they melt, not good to breath in ,carcenogenic i am sure, the smell could also be deal breaker for the hot little betty with you on your first date due to u having the car in the first place.

M5 all the way, there's no contest there. Every aspect of the M5 has been well designed, beauty and function coupled w/ german quality is undoubtably superior in every aspect.



Yes, the viper is an awesome car. but I can't understand why american car builders can't make beautiful interiors for those awesome cars. They should take some interior design classes from the europeans or the japanese.



In my opinion, the M5 would be a fun car to drive. The viper is only gonna turn heads.
