For Xmas! 6x9 and 8" Speaker Adapters for E36's !!

    Hi all!

I make custom speaker adapters for E36's that allow you to easily add 6x9 or 8" speakers under the rear deck.

My adapters are made out of solid wood and use the factory mounts so there is no modification needed- Installation takes about 30 mins.

I have sold many of these to members at DTMpower.net, Bimmer.org, and Ebay- All with rave reviews.

If you are looking for an easy way to upgrade the sound in your ride, please have a look at my website http://Scorpion.makes.it

All members from here will get 2-day Fedex Express shipping from me, and if getting two or more adapter sets an additional 10% discount. Just note in your order that you were referred from M3forum.com

    Best,

    Kurt

I saw this before, looks neat.....but how does the sound travel throught that hole?

Can't I just buy a rear basket from the HK system in a junk yard?

The sound travels through the hole just fine, there is more than enough opening. you are only transmitting soundwaves, not pumping water

The HK plastic adapter is for a 5x7" speaker, a bit smaller than 6x9's. you could get a set and it will fit right in.

Best place is in fact a junkyard, because they are about $400 from the Dealer....Yikes!!!

when i was looking in my rears, i noticed that there was not only a 6" but a tweeter to go with it.. perfect for a component.. im not all about the 6X9.. for some reason they just don't have the bass i feed for.. i rather the circular method over the "oval"..

The thing is.....you can't find a 6" component set out there, only 6.5 or 5.25".....i think A/D/S might have them but I'm not too sure, rather just do 6x9's with the detachable tweeter....

              suggestion-

Go with my 8" adapters for the rears and a pair of 8's, and then if you want to add tweets it is as simple as mounting a tweeter inside the opening of the speaker adapter. I've done this using a bracket made out of the metal strap used on the back of car stereos. Wire the tweets to a lower power amp or the rear speaker wires on the head unit.

you really don't need tweets back there though unless you care about entertaining the back seat passengers.

JBL co-ax 6x9's sound very good with my 6x9 adapters in the E36, nice bass / midbass and the swivel tweeter is not too harsh. Cost about $100 / pair at Fry's and are worth the $$.

Tip- wire both rear speakers backwards and you should have improved bass response. This has been proven in alot of E36's.
