Does anyone know if changes have been ever made to the clutch mechanism after the 2001 model year?
Let me explain, I recently test drove a 6 speed manual 2003 M3, and I did not notice any difficulty or extra effort needed to depress the clutch pedal. After the test drive, I went ahead and ordered a manaul shifting M3.
Just yesterday, I drove a colleague's 2001 manual M3, and the clutch pedal was harder to depress and seemed noticeably different than the experience I had when I drove the 2001 M3.
This raised the question in my mind that the clutch mechanism may have been made softer after the 2001 year.
Does anyone have any information about this, or was this all in my imagination.
Thanks to all.
