Where can I get a spoiler for a 1997 M3/4?

How much can I expect to pay for it?

Should I try to install by myself or have a BMW dealership do it?

I cant answer your question......but I am glad you asked, then we will both know. The factory spoiler came without the 3rd brake light in the back window. Wonder whats necessary to do a factory correct installation and eliminate the 3rd in the back window.



That addtion is on my list of tempting items along with the angel eyes and euro lens sets. I promised myself that I would keep it stock and just drive it, we will see how long that lasts.....



Does yours have the folding rear seat? There are 2 options that my car doesnt have, the folding rear seat and spoiler

The factory spoiler cost about $850 painted and installed by the dealer. You can get an aftermarker for about $175 anywhere and get it painted and install yourself. It really easy. Make sure you get the right one for your car, 2 or 4 doors. The 2dr coupe is higher than the sedan. And they both come with the 3th brake light. As for the Factory 3th brake light behind the rear window, just remove the bulb. Run the wiring down and Tap the spoiler light wiring to the rear left wiring harness connecting to the tail light. Easy job, tke about 45 min. The hardest part is getting someone to match paint it for you. Body shop charge somewhere around $100 to $150 to paint it. Bavarian autosport sell them for $450 painted, but it take about a month for you to get it.

I have seen them painted and installed for about $600.00 , the LED's make it a little pricer. Btw, when i had an Accord the price was the same for a rear spoiler as BMW, kinda weird.
