Automatic Climate control in 1995 M3

I have a 95 m3 and was wondering if I can buy a climate control from 97' or on and have it installed in my car. Does it fit? I don't like the look or the functions of the old manual ones and would like to upgrade it.

It would take a lot of work and money to do that; they are 2 totally different systems.
