whining car

hmmm i got a question for u guys maybe you can help me on this ...when accelerating slowly i can hear a progressive whine as the rpms go up the whine gets higher pitched one i get to third gear its not noticeable , also it sounds as if my steering is whining thats the best explantation i can give , when i turn sharply sometimes it makes a whining noise....just got a new steering pump about a month ago

any opinions would be apreciated thanks in advance

That whining can be contributed to any pump that's in the car.....the whining is just the sound coming from the pump as it's trying to **** in fluid......somthing could be messed up you might wanna get it checked out.......that's just one thing it could be but on my old acura i started to hear a whine just before my tranny went out so I would say to definatly get it checked out asap:thumbsup:
