performance/luxury package how to know?

Hello, I'm looking to buy a 95-96 M3 and have heard there is the sport and luxury pkg's. I don't want the luxury pkg as I plan to do a little autoxing. was wondering how I tell whick it has before I buy it? Any inpup is appreciated. Thanx

i think the luxury versions were only 4 doors. i could be wrong. T

I could be wrong, but I thought the luxury package deleted the splitter on the front air dam (that may be for later E36 M3's). But I'm not sure... I would think wood trim is another indicator of the luxury package. Hope this helps.

find one with vader seats.. that is NOT a luxury. haha

The luxury package will have wood in the interior. Not all four doors were luxury packaged. Under the bumper will not have the mesh, it will have plastic slats. A sedan with the sport package will not have Vaders, it will have the 328 sport seats with M stripes stiched in them. Hope this helps.

This is the 97 Luxury specs. Includes: cruise control, a driving computer, seatback and side-panel inserts in Nappa leather, a special front spoiler, fancier wheels, some wood trim inside and a few other items.

Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to joining the club of a "REAL" car. Last thing, someone told me the suspension was different on the luxury package? If not the luxury package would be fine I would think? They don't all have the sport seats I take it. Anyway info helped alot. Thanx, I can't wait to find my baby....
