Picking my car up at Borla tomorrow

I miss my car a lot. Its been a week and a half and I finally get to pick up my car. I hope that it is worth it. They are gonna dyno it tomorrow when I pick it up so I can see the gains. Laters and happy new years.

Hell yeah. I got it back and I just got home today. It sounds so nice and deep, even in high gear. My car had a 13.4 horsepower gain and I felt it all the way home on my three hour drive. I love it.

What other mods have you done to the car before the exhaust? What were the specifics of the dyno run?

13.5! That seems like a lot of extra HP for the $$!

13.4 Gain? Seems a bit large. I have yet to see an exhaust system help that much. Did they perform three basline runs with factory exhaust, then cool down for a while and perform three runs with new exhaust? Or were the runs on different days (diffent air temp, humidity etc)? 5 HP is probably the norm for an aftermarket exhaust. Do you still have your CATS?

let's see some pics....of the exhaust and dyno sheets. 13.4 does sound like alot. are they showing the gain from stock est of 240hp or from before and after mod dyno? either way, i'd love to see some pics. good to see you are happy with the exhaust.

I have nothing against Borla but I heard some negative things about them from my muffler guy. They tend to use very thin stainless steel and was told they are prone to cracking. I would be interested in other peoples opinions on this including Borla if they read this forum.

Sorry for the late reply. I was in Las Vegas for the New Year. I can't post any dyno's or any pics because I don't have a digital camera or a scanner. But I will as soon as I get back. I leave on Friday to go to Samoa (I work out of there) and won't be back for two or three months, but when I get back, I'll post what I can. I have no mods as on my car, but I do agree that 13.4 for is a pretty big gain. I'll dyno it again later down the line. I don't know if there is something wrong with my car though, because on the dyno sheet it is saying that I have 197.9 horsepower with the stock exhaust and with the Borla its at 207.4. Oh, sorry its a 9.5 horsepower gain at max power and a 13.4 horsepower gain is the biggest gain. But why is it saying that my horsepower is at 197.9. I don't know anything about dyno's and this is my first dyno. Help me out here. Well, guys take care and happy new year. See you all in three months.

Has anyone forked up the big bucks for the Dinan exhaust? They claim it gets a peak 9HP in the high revs, which seems to be more than most.......

I've heard negative feedback on borla from not only a guy who put one on a 95 M3 but also from two guys with Jeeps. :help:

I agree with 88, i have put borla exhaust on every car i have ever owned and have never had one problem. Moreover, they maintain real well in my opinion and sound great no matter what the application. One of the best parts about them is that ( unless thier policy has changed) there products are gaurenteed for the life of your vehicle!
