So,
It took a long time, but I think that I've finally brought my parents around to my way of thinking. I am expecting to buy a 99 M3 during the summer(I need a couple thousand more just in case).
Seriously, though it is my money, and I plan on paying it all off at once (parent's requirement), I still have to convince them of my large purchases.
I noticed almost none of you guys have Estoril Blue M3's...is there a reason for this. Ever since that color came out I have been obessed with it. I know it is kind of gaudy, but I don't care. It is slightly more tasteful then the the E46 Leguna Seca Blue (though I'd buy that too)
In any case, was it a hard to get color back then? Did it sell well? My parents keep telling me not to get a car with an odd color because it is harder to sell. They just put themselves down on the waiting list for a new E500 in silver because the platinum blue they liked doesn't sell as well.
It seems harder to find Estoril Blue's...but the color is very distinctive and when you see it, even a layman knows you're driving something special.
Oh, and by the way, is the Coupe significantly stiffer then the Cab? I drove an automatic, convertible (two things that I don't want) and it wasn't as nimble as I hoped. It need to drop some pounds because of the convertible and the manual would have been a lot more fun.
As for the nimble thing...this car is NUTS! I had never driven an M3 and at first, I was unimpressed with the turn in amount of lean...I mean, this leaned more than my prelude, but then my eyes got really wide because...it STOPPED leaning. That was really weird. It's like the suspension has a bit of play before it goes, "Oh, you WANT to turn HARD?" Then it just sticks and goes. Amazing car.
Sorry for the long post, but I spent a lot of this break thinking about getting the car and trying to find dealers that had them for me to test drive.
