well.. now i talked to the rents and i may not sell it.. the thing is that 2 wheels are mangled and a tire is blown (funny that).. so thats about 2g's or so.. the frame is fine.. thats why im thinkin about redoing everything.. its a bunch of sensors and the AC compressor and fan are destroyed.. thats around a grand or so.. the front bumper is a grand (with lights).. the brake ducts are smashed, a fenderwell was ripped apart.. a control arm broke.. i mean there is a lot of stuff.. but i will post the info when i get it.. they are sending me a sheet with everything on it.. ill give it too ya as soon as i can.. but this car isn't ever going to be the same as it use to be.. im going to definitly revamp it if possible.. the reason i didn't use the insurance is because the IC would have blown my monthly payment up 4X.. and i can't afford to pay that over a year.. so its better that i just do it this way.. maybe i can find some performance parts.. i need info guys.. everywhere you know.. i think the exhaust may have taken a shot.. im not sure though.. and im not spending top dollar (or what bmw wants) to get the car back to stock.. its going to be the way i want it.. fast and lethal (not going to kill me though) and i will never drive it in the winter again.. im going to see if i can get it down to around 5g's just by taking some things off like the AC and stuff like that.. i want the car to just be functional first.. so now i gotta look for rims instead of an exhaust.. damn.. ah well.. gimme some feedback.. are there any performance control arms out there???
i will be back.. oh yes.. i will be back
btw - ill be back later tonight after class to talk about this ****.. damn it sucks.. let me show my ******* anger.. please show my cuss words Frank.. please.. cause it is necessary for the situation.. **** **** **** **** damn!!!!!!

Purple,
You just have to be creative with your Phucking cuss words. $hit, that does **** about your car, the body shop is really bending you over and phucking you in the a$$. Don't know of any performance control arms, but I am sure they exist. Maybe TC Kline (sp) makes some. You also may want to look into suspension, especially if the existing one is bent.
Keep up updated, even $5K is a lot to spend at one time.

Purple, you can get good quality control arms at tunermotorsports. There's a lot of other good aftermarket products there too at really good prices.

If you're planning to sell your tail lights, give me a ring. I'm pretty much interested in them.

thanks for all the replys.. and the salute.. im definitly going to fix this thing.. its gonna take some money.. but im gonna do it the right way.. forget this bmw $hit.. haha.. jk.. im gonna start lookin at rims and definitly get aftermarket control arms and pretty much anything i can find that might be "better".. im also going to take the parts list to another place to see what they say.. just to be sure im getting the right deal.. i don't think im gonna replace the AC right away.. i never use it anyways.. plus thats about a !G!.. the rims were the big part of it though.. i need a control arm for sure... and i need a bumper for sure... they need to replace the pins behind the bumper so that they thing will hold on while going 150 also.. fender wells are needed.. brake ducts.. i just need to find some things that can be purchased from other distributers.. like bmp and turner.. i think all 4 oxy sens are gone so it will be funny to see how the rest of the exhaust system is.. i use the term funny lightly.. of course.. they were also trying to charge me 700$ for a dent that was already there.. its the size of a quarter and i never really noticed it anyways.. screw that!.. so thats a nice drop.. ill manage to find ways outta this one.. ill be back in 6 months (i mean the car and me).. ahh well.. where do i start now.. haha

You are definately going to have to rebuild because you will never be happy in another car after driving your M3. If you want to stick with the stock M-Contours you could probably work a deal with someone on the forum that wants to upgrade their rims. Just a thought to possibly keep your costs down for tires/rims since you also need alot of other stuff....
In any case, good luck and get back soon

ive been lookin at prices in BMP and other things, and it seems i can definitly get it down some as long as im smart about it.. as my dad said "lets just get it runnin, then u can find time to fix the little things"... im pretty sure thats what im gonna do.. ive been lookin at rims.. i just gotta try and keep the price down.. 9 inch wide rears is what i want.. and i think im gonna get it (245's though.. not 255's yet)

Just a thought but if someone hit and ran your car???? You would not incur an insurance increase. I know this from when someone key'd my 325is. I ended up getting the whole car painted and all the dents taken out. It only cost me my deductable and it was a comprehensive claim. No insurance increase.
I had to do a police report. Heh just a thought. Purple.
If it makes you feel any better. I had my first M3 for 9 days and some kid ran a red light and hit me head on. $10k in damage. My insurance is not going up and the car will be better than new. Getting her back Tomorow with any luck.
No frame damage other than where the bumber is held on. What I found out is that BMW's have a unibody frame so they just cut out the bad portion and weld on a new. It will actually be stonger than stock. Not really worrie it is not holding the engine just the bumper. New lights No more paint chips in the hood that's new too. New radiator and Front aprin was Carbon from AC man that sucker was $1000. Yes new. So I'll have a 2003 front end. (old sytle of course) and a 1997 m3 soon. Oh they redid some road rash on my two front wheels AC for free as well. So Minus the down time which has been a big bummer 7 weeks so far. I'm actually coming out ahead of the game. Thank god my little girl wasn't in the car with me. It was no fun.
