well the only key is that you got the insurance to pay for urs.. mine is alittle more difficult than that.. right now im paying for it.. but im not sure how the insurance company would react.. im gonna see shortly though when i ask this for a "friend of a friend".. just to see what they would say.. but ive already started looking at the replacements.. i just want the thing back in a matter of 6 months.. granted im not putting any miles on it so thats good.. but i have no job.. haha.. i can see its going to be a long 6 - 8 months.. maybe it will be my birthday gift.. haha..

That seems like a really long time to get a car back. Is that because you can only upgrade as the funds become available?

You should change your picture to Phuck Ice and not cops any more.

About the rims... There are places that rebuild rims. They can fix cracks and missing metal, and curb rash. I'm not sure about fixing deformations, but you should check before you recycle your existing rims for scrap.

yeah i know.. from what the place said, they are not fixable.. he said they were just bent outta shape on the inside of the rims.. its not a huge loss.. i wanted to change them.. but i think i will save the rears just in case i drag again.. so i don't ruin my good rims/tires

Alot of times there are some good deals on EBay on some nice Hamann rims as well as some ACS's sometimes. Not sure how much you wanna spend but could be a good deal. If nothing else, you see stock rims on there alot. Good luck to you.

yeah i looked online, but i just couldn't find anything that would fit the way i wanted.. i still want that staggered wheel set but all the sets they had were 18x8f, 18x10r.. and they will only fit the M5 or bigger cars of the bmw fleet.. i may just have to settle with what i can get.. not that they look bad.. but ahh well.. ill keep searching till its buy time though..

There was a guy who was selling his wrecked 99 M3 for like $4500 grand. The A$$ was torn out of the left side but he says it still runs. You may be able to get the AC compressor and other drive train parts off of him.

                            Also, try www.bimmerssouth.com

They are a wrecking yard here in Georgia that has a lot of good parts. I'm waiting for some Mulberry Grey heated seats to show up on their site......

Not to sound like an "all-knowing parent", but perhaps you should sell it and look at getting another M3 down the road. Its not like you won't find another one (possibly in better condition) for a lower price and in the meantime it gives you a goal to work toward. It's tough to go back to mediocre wheels once you've had a taste of the good stuff, but doesn't kill makes you stronger.

Man, I drove around for 9 years in an un air-conditioned Jeep (4cyl) in the DEEEEEEP South before I got my M3. It was rough but I knew I'd get one sooner or later.

And with the next M3 you get, you'll be more careful with it and this won't happen again.........

i guess i could get another one instead of this one.. but.. somehow i just grow attached to cars.. ive never gotten rid of one.. yes i know they don't hold value.. and are worthless after you buy them.. but its just how i am.. i talked about it.. but the pops says to keep it.. upgrade it to my specs.. new everything.. better everything.. as good as i can get it.. which is what i think im going to do.. plus its techno-violet.. with black interior.. not a common car at all.. we'll see though....
