    Back in the Saddle

Well I've got my baby back.

For those who don't know. 10/08/02. I became a proud M3 owner. 10/19/02. Some J@#$ ran a red light and did this (see pic) Now I have her back almost new. Quick question anyone have issues with the keyless remote alarm not working.

I click the button I hear the sound but the alarm is not activated and the locks do not work. Just curious if this is a easy fix. Don't worry it's going back to the shop in a week for a bunch of stuff they didn't finish. Missing parts.

After 7 weeks they forgot to order the Front airducts, Missing a fog light (they got in to lefts) wheel well skirts in the front. They thought they weren't there before the accident. Also don't bother trying to get AC wheel refinished. They look like SH#$. Paint didn't match. Misshing the AC decal that is very slight under clear but makes it.

Long story short I'm just glad to be driving her again. In a week I'll have Brand new AC wheels and every thing else fixed. Actually the head mechanic is very kool and he is coming to my office to pick up my car having it repaired and dropping it off when it's done that day. Guess what he drives. A dodge Viper GT. He'll be leaving that for me. I hope.

By the way The car looks Un real with a new BMW front end. The head lights sparkle not a single chip in the new paint. Over all now that I have her back I'm not so up set about the accident. Tonight my Clairion DVD goes in. Wish me luck. Tommorow to the BMW ect meet in Irvine.

Congrats on getting her back. I am not sure about the locks, I would just let them handle it as it should be covered. Also, you may want to wait on the DVD unit until everything is fixed. I have heard some real horror stories about cars being broken in to overnight while in the shop and whole stereo's being stripped out. Does she drive like new?

PUrple if there is anyone on this board with empathy for you it's me. Let me tell you it has been such a great experience overall. I havn't been this excited since me and all my friends were on a waiting list for brand new harleys. ( No comments please)

You guys on this board got me through the last month. I've already got a waterpump on the way. Waiting was good for me because I usually spoil myself If I want something bad enough I make it happen.

As for the drive the car drives better than new. The front end Shines. Looks like it just drove off the show room floor. If you have a white M the carbon apron looks Sweet. I would never pay $1000 for it though. there have to be cheaper ones than the AC one that came with my car. Well I'm off to irvine. to meet up with Hopefully some other BMW's it says all welcome in the post. I'm hoping it's not a scene from Fast and Furious. Not looking to get arrested today.

Too late on the dvd however I left the head unit loose and I'm actually removing the whole thing when I bring it in. What a B@#$ to install 2 units one had to go under the back seat. Da@# these cars are built well. Have you guy ever scene the amount of padding in the dash shifter carpet ect. I fall more in love with this car everyday.

        Pix coming soon.
