          155 mph?

          . . . try 400+ mph

The thing that sucks about that bike is that it wouldn't work. The dude could barely handle it standing still when he yanked the throttle. It almost dumped over. The speed number is theoretical based on the rollout of the 1 speed drivetrain and the tire diameter. This thing will never see the road with that engine. It is just as bad as saying that if I put 36" tires on my M3, the car will topple 200mph. The car would eat itself before that happens.

Ive been into bikes my whole life, even rode out of

my mother. I would say that thing does not look

to fun. I can see with a wheely bar to keep you strait,

You will be #1 in 1/4 mile drag's, I shure you will get the

            crowd going.

I think Viper just whant's attention, cant figure why?

Hey CHRISTOPHERM3, that's a pretty insane story Wouldn't it be awesome if you had it on tape? If I ever try something like that it'll probably be when I'm around 70, but by then I'll probably be sleeping 22 hours a day and it'll probably take me a couple hours to get into my car or sit on my motorcycle. So that wouldn't work I guess, have fun when you're young:thumbsup:

As to the original subject, I was blazing through a very affluent neighborhood in Northern Atlanta (Alpharetta) on Saturday. It has long sweeping turns and nice rolling typography so I couldn't resist breaking in a new set of rear Pilots.

Anyway, I came blasting over a small hill and sho'nuff, there was Johnny Law sitting there with his instant-on radar. I immediately slowed down and pulled in front of his car just as his lights were coming on (I'm sure it freaked him out how fast I slowed down). He walks up to my car and says, "Did I suprise ya?"

                      "Sir, you scared the Cr@p outta me. But hey, I made a bad decision and I should have used better judgement...." I replied. {In my experience (which includes multiple facial slammings into hoods by Da Boss Man in my younger years), humility and brown-nosing a cop (who wishes he were in the U.S. military but had to settle for the police academy instead) always helps. Especially muscle-bound female cops that wish they were male cops.}

"Well do me a favor......SLOW DOWN!" he firmly commanded. He turned on his heel and marched back to his car.

Now, a week before, the Fraternal Order of Police's telemarketers called me up for a donation. Being short of cash for a Valentine One at the time and given my new found addiction to the wail of a German engine and its effects on mobility, I thought it might be a good idea to give the cops some bucks in return for a "2003 FOP Active Booster" sticker. I put that sticker on about four hours before I got pulled over and it probably saved me a $70 monthly hike in my insurance bill.

I urge all who find that their M3's simply are "not happy" at the given speed limits that were influenced by some bureaucrat who felt that it would keep his boss' constituents happy and safe, to support our local law enforcement in a similar manner in order to reap similar benefits.

I stashed my smoke in a dumpster and waited for the longest 2 hours of my life. Since that day I have never even got a speeding ticket. Thank God.

                        Erik

So be honest, did you yank the smoke back out of the dumpster or were content to be off the hook and blow the scene?

Rule # 1, they allways seem to go back to the scene of

                          the crime.

                          thats how cops see it.

WhytLytnin, where in alpharetta did that happen? Was it Alpharetta PD or Fulton Co PD? I grew up in Roswell and graduated from Chattahoochee High.

I have had 2 runins with the law since I got my baby 2 months ago. I bought her on ebay and flew up to get her in Manhattan, New York City of all places. I had never been there before so what better place to learn to drive my 99 cabriolet than down Broadway in the snow?? Anyway, I had just been on I-85 SB from I-95 and had been making REAL good time (130ish) when I got behind a trator trailer that was flinging sheets of ice off the roof, I was swerving from lane to lane, it seemed like the ice came after me wherever I was. I didn't feel like ripping open my top with a chunk of ice, so I said F-it lets go and punched it to get by the truck. Well when I passed the truck I was really moving, and realized that my exit was on the other side of the truck so I had to swerve back across to the exit and what do you know, there sat the NC State Patrol. He was out of his car directing traffic with a flag because there was a wreck around the next curve. Now you have to picture the look on his face as I come flying across the highway and almost hit one of his little orange cones doing well over 100. He was waving his flag for all it was worth, jumping up and down and pointing at me sternly. I slowed way the **** down and waited for him to come take me to jail....I rounded the bend doing about 50 in a 65 and passed 4 more state patrol cars who were holing their radios and all looking at me.....I about crapped myself but they didn't come after me:beer:

Just last week I was leaving my fire station going to another fire station when I met a Forsyth County sherriff over a hill. His blue light came on immediately and he was turning around as I came up to a red light. I had to make a fast decision and I decided to go for it. It was clear so I busted the red light and hauled ass down Peachtree Pkwy and down some back streets...he never had a chance.

It's kind of fun to feel like a fugitive.

The only time I went to jail was in my 1996 Mustang Cobra Conv for doing 140 on GA 400 in Dawsonville. I soon after sold the car because the charges included racing, reckless driving, too fast for conditions, etc. and would have cost me my job in this field forever. To top it off it was 3 days before i got married and I had to call my fiancee from jail. I don't reccomend anyone be in that position. I knew the sherriff in that town and got off of all charges. I am afraid that the temptation on the M3 will put me back on the cell block before too much longer. She just begs to go faster in the curves....

Oh hell yea I picked it up. I did however do a recon trip of the area to make sure the coast was clear first.
