    Shock absorbers

When do the shocks on M3's need to be replaced? I have a 1998 M3 sedan with 65,000 miles. It's starting to feel alittle rough to where I can feel more the abrupt changes in the road. I have new tires on the car.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

There is no definate time when shocks should be replaced. It all depends on a number of factors. How the car has been driven, the roads that the car has been driven on, etc. However, I would think that your shocks are nearing the end of their useful life. You should be able to tell this if you shocks are not rebounding as quickly and the suspension feels soft and tends to float instead of being responsive. Also if you remember what you tires looked like before you replaced them. Did you have even wear? Not having even wear can also be a symptom of worn out shocks.

    Hope this helps.
