I know that it is on the more expensive side of things, and retails for around $1000. Performance gains, as with all aftermarket E36 M3 exhausts, will be nominal at best - However I will say that it is the absolute best sounding exhaust that I have ever heard on an M3. It has a signature warbling howl that I just personally love.
i had the dinan free-flow. i got mine for about 1100 last december but sold it within 2 months. as far as sound, its like the factory exhaust but with a little more growl. i immediately found that it had a little more pull; i believe the torque gain is around 4000. the thing is that i also bought dinans engine download (which i also sold) with it, so your gains maybe different.
overall in my view, its really overpriced compared to other systems. the quality is definately there but i wasnt satisfied for some reason. i now have the rogue engineering system. i like it muuuuuch better; i found more pull in rogue's rather than dinan's too. i've also tried supersprint and AA gen 3 but i like rogues the best. hope that helps.
I'm no authority since I've never had another kind, but I really like my exhaust. It was already on my first M3 when I bought, and I transferred it to my second. The growl is low, not too over the top IMO.
Also have driven a M3 with Supersprint, louder, can't compare power since that car had a lot of other stuff on it as well.
I used to have the dinan but the sound didn't do it for me much happier with the uuc although the finish on the dinan is much nicer. Imho it is overpriced and the gains will be pretty much the same with any of the major brands.
