I almost made a similar comment when M3AN said "Airbags needed to be made larger for the US market" in the "Why didnt USA get the M3 321Hp" thread. But I thought I might get too much heat.. you know, don't wanna get beat up by anyone more than twice my size.

ACDM3: Hope you are back on the road again. As you know, the weather in the NW was not so great the past week and thus I had to go Tues. and Wed. without driving mine. I sure pitty the people that have to garage their car for the entire winter Now, if they would just clean up all the sand they put down

 Hope to see you on the road soon.

One of the reasons I garage my car almost the entire winter is because of the salt. Even after the snow stops, the roads are so full of salt, I won't take it out. That's all I need is to park it with salt all over it. I wonder if sand is any better though. I think they don't use sand here because it clogs up the storm sewers and is more permanent than salt. How long before all streets are heated and we won't have to worry about sand or salt?

Just got a call from the body shop. The side moldings are held up at the airport in Portland so I won't get it back until Monday now! I can't wait any longer.... The good news is that my girlfriend and I have tickets for Chris Rock tomorrow night, so we should manage to have a fun weekend.

ACDM3: Sorry to hear that the weather is still messing things up for you. If you feel the need for speed, I will be heading over to Traxx on the Mukeltio speedway at 1:00, if you are up for some cart racing today. I know it is not the same as driving your own M3, but it does get the blood flowing.

I appreciate the offer, however I have to work all day today. It would be fun to get together when I get my car back though. Let's be in touch next week.

ACDM3: Yes, let's get together next week then. I too am working all day but try to hit the track a couple times a week during lunch. Enjoy your concert and I hope you are happy with the repair. I will make sure I park on the side of you

I haven't been on the forum for a couple weeks because my car has been in the body shop. Here is the stupid story. It was Chrismtas day and I was home in Eugene, OR. My dad hadn't seen my car, so we took it for a spin (1st time I have had it up to 115 mph). Anyway, my dad drives it last and when he parks, leaves it in gear. When it was time to drive home, my girlfriend asks me to warm it up before we go. I am 6'4", so it is a pain for me to get in and out of my car. So instead I just lean in to turn the ignition, and press down the clutch with my left hand. I always leave it in neutral and have done this before when I'm working on it. As you can guess, as soon as I let off the clutch, my car jumps forward with me hanging halfway out. My driver's side door hits a boat trailer, gets completely dented, window breaks. Passenger side not too bad, just a scrape from a car bumber. My car stopped when it hit my mom's house. Not too bad, cracked the wall a little (where my old bedroom was) and scraped up the front bumber. Anyway, I made it out with only a few bumps and bruises. Both my girlfriend and I had to run training seminars for work the next morning in the Seattle area, so we taped some plastic over the window and drove her home. I am writing this because she will be done tomorrow. I can't wait to get the M power back and install my intake that has been waiting all week. I hope everybody had a safe holiday season.

Avram Howdy, I live in the Mill Area:thumbsup:

M3AN he did not say he was overweight, he said he was 6'4" which means very tall, and at that height he is probly on the thin side.

Ok I just tried this on a coworkers 330i. I tried to reach the clutch w/my hand while standing outside the car and reaching thru the open window. Damn you must have long long a$$ arms to reach that w/your feet still on the ground. I am 6'1" and just about busted my nuts on the door sill trying to hit the clutch. My coworker is like wtf?? are you doing, what kind of forum did you say you were on?? lol

Let me clarify. I am 6'4", 200lbs. I don't have stretch arms either, my door was open when I was starting it.
