Front fender well rub w/ 18's

My 97 M3 has a front fender well rub when I've got the wheel cranked all the way to the left. All the way to the right is fine.

A local tuner shop said that these cars have a plastic "Snap in" inner fender well and that these can come undone.

My car is down approx 1 - 1 1/2 inches in the front. He also said they they have heated and slightly tweaked this inner plastic piece for 18's and 19's to clear.

    Has anyone messed with this?

    Thanks

I have 18's on h7r race springs, pretty low with no real gaps..without any rubbing

What springs do you have and what size tire are you running

I just bought my car used. Not sure about the springs. I'll have to check. I know it's got coil overs though.

Tires are 225/40/18 SO3s on Type 3 ACs.

Check the inner fender well like ur local shop said. Mines came slightly undone and on sharp turns it rubs. Seems to be getting worse but, to cold out to fix it now. I have a Dinan CAI and i think the filter may of push the plastic in the wheel well off.

ya, just make sure the fender lining isnt coming off. mine was, and i just drilled some holes in the plastic, and used zip ties to secure everthing, and have had zero problems since.
