Gas prices expected to go up again.

I heard in the news that the gas prices are going up again. I went on vacation and when i left the gas price for us was 1.84 now that i'm back i'm paying 1.98 they said that by april it should go up by 17 more cents per gallon.

In guatemala where i wen't it was pretty cheap for the supreme, which came to be 1.35 Dollars. man i would love that price here. But then again, i do live in Cali, home of the expensive gas, or so i've heard.

I moved from upstate NY to upstate SC in July. The biggest diffeference in prices between the two areas (besides real estate) is the price of gas.

When I left NY, I think regular was $1.65, I don't remember what 91 octane cost because I didn't own anything worth putting it in.

In SC, I was getting 91 octane for $1.49/gal in October (thats when I bought the M3). Lately its been up to $1.64. Regular unleaded was $1.28, now is $1.50.

It's a combination of factors that determine gas prices. Supply and demand, plus a robust economy. Currently it's because of the extreme cold weather on the East Coast, plus there is a shortage of crude oil in the US.

Prices will continue to go up by another 10 to 15 cents, and then start to come down in early April. A lot of the crude oil is being used for heating oil, and that means less gasoline availability.

I have to use Premium 93 Octane in my Landcruiser and M5.

its like $2-2.10/gal for 91 at most of the Chevron and 76's around here...

we could only WISH for premium for $1.65 :???:

I've seen it around $1.75 before but not lately... it was up to $2.35 sometime last year so $1.90-2 isn't too bad here

Alot of the differences among the states are taxes. When I lived in NY, I worked in CT. I made it a point never to buy gas in CT because the taxes were about $.10/gal more. When gas prices went up a while back, they cut back some of the tax. After that, NY & CT were pretty close in price.
