Footwell lamps

Stupid question - my daughter somehow got the footwell lamps on. I have never seen these and cannot find out where to switch them. I looked in the manual and it said page 43, but there was nothing about them.

They will turn on when the doors are opened. Maybe the bulbs are blown and somehow she got the hanging filaments to connect?

No, they are on while you drive. There must be a switch somewhere. She was getting acquainted with all the features and was throwing a lot of switches while she was in the driveway.

I do not remember them ever being on before.

hmm.. does the dim dial make them come on? otherwise they shoiuld only work with the door switch..

Well I went out to check and they went right out after I shut the door. Very weird. It is real cold and icy now, so who knows. Thanks for the quick replies. We had both been fooling with all the controls - she is learning. I have too many cars and she ends up with the M3 instead of us getting another. It she was a boy there would be no way. Thank God for traction control and antilock brakes.
