    Spotted: M3 318is

I wish I had my camera, I've seen it twice now.

    Picture this:

    - 318is with full M3 kit

    - Replica BMW wheels

    - Full tan leather

    - Very light wood interior

    - And... it has Z3 fender vents! :rockband: (the install wasn't bad but they're not my look)

Okay, so somebody has spent some money on this.

    But wait, there's more!

This car has the proper 318is badge on the RHS of the trunk-lid and an E36 ///M3 badge on the left hand side! v.cool.

There's still more... on the Z3 fenders are ///M badges (large ones that stick out, not flush...) and a trunk-lid ///M3 badge on the panel above the glovebox... :help:

    :banghead:

    I'll get pics next time...

thats rediculous, for how much extra money they spend to make it look like an M they can almost own one.. and if not they can always buy an older one, but at least its real... i cant stand those people that try to make their 325 or whatever look like the M..

What are those 3 and 5 series BMW's in NZ that have just an M badge and nothing else. No number.

Is that the Performance Package or M Sport Package or something?

Usually the wheels are different, but they basically have the same bodykits as the M cars.

i don't mind people using the technic body to make there car look better.. my bro did it and it looks great.. but i don't allow him to put the M badges on.. i told him its not an M and won't be an M.. therefore u can ahve the body but not the badge.. so we just debadged his car completely.. looks pertty hot...

          Good Advice Alex.

I know it's big in Europe to debadge cars, so just tell him he's trendy and European and stuff. Wait, I hope you don't get your ass kicked for that...

sticking an M badge on a non-M is sad. the main problem i have is that it cheapens the whole M marque.

last year after getting my safety inspection, another customer at the gas pump noticed my M and we start having a little conversation. turned out he was a roadfly member and owns a 7-series back home (he was here on vacation). during the course of the conversation, he uttered the words "...and if that is a real M..."

            WTF? :???:

dude i just met you and you take jabs at me already? but in the end i can't blame him. the reason for his doubt right off the bat is because of lame people that use fake M badges.

Yeah, it'll be one of two things.

If you buy an M-Tech (basically 'sport') 3/5/7 you can option the badge delete or badge replacement with the ///M logo. These usually come with wheels, kit and suspension but can include a combination of things.

Alternatively, you can simply buy the badge and stick it on in place of your other one...

Yeah, always a consideration but they've never really "struck" me... having not seen some in person probably makes a difference... maybe after the other mods that I never seem to get around to... :banghead:

Man they are still trying to sell the piece of S.H.I..T

yean, about the fake M3's, a guy from my class just got smoked by me because he sworn to me that he took on an M3 with his Acura...SAD SAD. I told him it had to be a fake one, didn't believe him so i had to SHOW him. hadn't done this so i didn't know by how much i was gonna win..man what a surprise. I raced an old acura but not the new ones. I know some of you old folks rember that, givin me the heat for racing with people in my car. but anywho..

I guess now he can say, "I beaten a Fake M3" instead of saying "i beat an M3"

There is one in the Nashville area also. Has the rear spoiler, mirrors, front end, etc and the double spoke 20 wheels like mine. Girl from Cali has it, brought it with her.
