Our Vaders weigh a ridiculous amount. Drifter, you might want to offer to trade your Vaders for some lux seats or take the cash you get from the sale and get some cheap racing seats.

I read one of the best ideas earlier, run less than a full tank. At what, 7 or 8 lbs a gallon, 16 gal is over a hundred pounds right there.

          a gallon weighs 7.5 pounds.

Going half tank by itself saves more weight than i would think could be removed from the car before the interior is gutted or before it becomes a track car.

I would also never put fix a flat in my car if I cared about the tires.

I've heard it does nasty things to tires and you should probably replace them after using it. If the hole is small enough, you can probably reuse the tire normally.

Anyone else heard negatives about fix-a-flat? The E46 M3 guys pretty much agree that call a flatbed instead of using their M-mobility kit (glorified fix-a-flat) unless they are in the middle of the woods or something.

if you use fix a flat on a tire, you will never be able to balance the wheel while it is in there, because the liquid is always moving around in there.

I always thought that it magically solidified. And then you really have to get it rebalanced.

CarQz17, cool you don't by chance know the weight of the factory hood or any other parts I am guessing about, doors, trunk.

Well first of all I only drive like 30 miles max if any thing so if I get a flat I will just call some one. and 2nd this is the only big mods i can do to my car with no money going into my pockets.

Fix a Flat is a terrible solution!!! It is highly flammable and many shops will even charge you extra to work on a tire that has had Fix a Flat in it because of the risks. SpecVcepS is right! You will never be able to balance that tire again. So fix a flat might get you home but you may as well order a new tire on your way.

i would only use the fix a flat when i got the flat.. by that time the tire will need replaced anyways.. argh.. i guess that means take the tire on the long trips and leave it at home when in town..
