im leaking!!!!!!!

ive owned my m3 4 2 years now and when ever it gets 2 this time of year its starts getting damp in passenger foot well(graet english weather 4 you)has anyone had this problem?

bmw want £98 per hour just 2 have alook and said it could take up 2 6 hours to find problem.......

Is it leaking in oil, or water?



Maybe its something with the cabin insulation system....?

Is the heater core leaking? If it seems like coolant, then the problem is most likely the heater core. If it is water, maybe you can pull back the carpet/trim and see where it is coming from?

Maybe your passengers feet are covered with snow.

Well, since you say it happens whenever it gets to "this time of year" I assume you mean if comes with the rain. That would exclude things like heater core (it doens't care what time of year it is, when it leaks it leaks) so I would say give it a good smell, and if it is not smelling like antifreeze than you have a seal letting outside water into the cabin. Has the windshield (or wind screen as you call it) ever been replaced? If so that is a good place to start, otherwise a good visual inspection of the door trip seals would be 2nd. Surely there are shops in London that specialize in this sort of thing, you don't have to take it back to BMW.
