Hey, I’ve got a bit of an oil leak from my valve cover on my 95 m3 and was gonna undertake that project this weekend. I have two questions:
1. Any pointers or things I should know about, outside the obvious? I’ve got the gasket and grommets coming.
2. A bmw tech was telling me that my valve covers are magnesium, which needs to be prepped carefully before painting. Mine has peeling paint like other ‘95s I’ve seen. Has anyone tried painting these successfully? Any advice? I tried doing searches to no avail.
