    Idle Control Valve

I have a question- I mentioned that my car was reving funny to the mechanic and when I got it back he mentioned that he adjusted the idle control valve. Fast forward a few weeks when I sit idle at a light for like 60 seconds my car goes limp and the CEL and the gear with the exclamation point goes on (the transmission light from what the manual says). Anyways I did the ODB1 flash method and got the fault code of 1216 - the potentiometer. Anyways I want to adjust the ICL back to what it was before the light came on. I know where the throttle is and all and can move the mechanism with my hand. What screw or whatever do I need to adjust to change the idle throttle setting?

You´re right...it is not. The only way is to clean it inside with a degreaser.
