Well i was talking with Ben at Rogue engineering yesterday and a little bit today and yesterday (as i mentioned in another post) he showed me their newest project which he said should be shipping really soon and when i spoke with him today he told me it was shipping now and would only cost $10 to retrofit to older Rogue ssk's and will be included in all new kits.
Ben said it would be on the website soon, www.rogueengineering.com , but I thought I would post about it anyway for anyone thinking about picking out a new SSK. here is what i know from Ben:
It has a self adjusting pivot point which eliminates the break-in period all together. Additionally, with it's simple, yet unique system, pivot wear is a thing of the past, since it compensates for wear, allowing for even bushing preload at all times. Basically there is a weighted washer within the pivot point that keeps a certain pre-load poundage.
This is to say this is a definant improvement in short shifting but not to say there arent other options. Just helping Rogue as I have their products and love them.
