    help finding m3

hello, i'm fairly new to the m3 world, but have always loved the cars for both performance and styling. anyway, i am currently in the market for an m3, but have a fairly specific one that i'm looking for. can anyone tell me how hard it will be to find a techno violet 4-door sedan with dove grey interior and a manual tranny with relatively low miles on it? anyone know of someone looking to sell their techno m3/4? i've looked all over and they seem rediculously hard to find. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    thanks

Yeah, that's a tough find because of the color and because you want a 4 dr WITH a stick.

Are you flexible on the color at all?

Honestly, I'd check out every 4 dr stick that comes your way because if you find one if pristine condition, you might want to take that.

The key is condition, you can grow to love most colors. I didn't want a black car at all, but ended up with one and now I like it quite a bit.

Not as cool as Estoril, but I like it.

Actually, come to think of it. An EE professor up here has the exact car you're looking for. I wonder if she's selling...

Want me to get a name for you? You could just cold-email her.

Finding the right M3 for you just takes a lot of patience. For me, it took more than 6 mos. I wasn't too picky about the color, but the miles, interior condition, owner personality, and price were not flexible. My advice is to wait, be patient, and be on your toes because when a good one goes on the market at even a decent price, it sells fast. I had 2 sold out from under my feet before I got mine. Also, being willing to travel almost anywhere will really broaden your chances. I eventually found my vehicle from a private seller in Nashville, TN. The best source that I used was autotrader.com. Others include going to Barnes and Noble (or other bookstore) in the newspaper section and searching the classifieds in various cities. Above all else, wait till you find what you want; be patient. Good Luck. These are also where I was able to find the best prices.

that does seem to be a little high on the miles. i would be a little flexible on the color, i would also be interested in an estoril, or a dakar but i'm a really big fan of the techno violet and if at all possible would rather have that color. thanks for the quick responces.

are the back seats on the 2dr about the same size as the 4dr? i'm really kinda hooked on the idea of a 4dr that has the same weight dist. as the 2drs and is just as fast. with that said however, i'd be more then willing to look at a 2dr if the rear seats are similar in size to the 4dr.
