    OBDii to OBDi Conversion

Anyone know how to do an OBDii to OBDi conversion on the 96 BMW M3? Pictures of ones done would be helpful... but I'm more interested in the directions... and man... let me tell ya... directions with pictures would be awesome. A list of parts would be very helpful too.

I'm just looking to blow the doors off of a few mustang cobras... obviously not the brand new one.

All you need is a M50 manifold, larger injectors, cams, and matching software to get about 300bhp. Really no need to go back to OBD1. Eurosport High Performance sells a good quality kit.

You can also get an aftermarket standalone unit like the TEC3.

I think it may be cheaper to convert than to buy the cam kit. I'm trying to squeeze as much out of my car with the least amount of money. And once thats all done its save money up time for the twin screw supercharger heeh

There is only $600 difference between the OBDII cam kit and OBDI cam/hfm kit.

Plus its illegal to convert to OBDI and depending on your state you might not be able to get your car inspected.

Their is no reason to go to OBD I. You can get plenty of power out of the OBD II setups listed above.
