E36 differences

are there any difference in the E36 M3's that i can tell from? like body, rims, interior? or are all the years made the same? just want to know....

There's only a few differences between M3s. There's the luxury package that includes:



Luxury Power Seats

Wooden trim

328is sideskirts

No front lip

No rear spoiler

OPTIONAL Slat grill on the front bumper

M-Contour rims



Then you have the sports package that comes with:



Vader manual seats

Front M-Technic Lip

Rear M-Technic Spoiler

M-Technic sideskirts

Meshed grill on the front bumper

Choice of M-Countour, M-Double Spoked, M-Star rims



There's also a small difference between the 92-95 models and the 96-98 models:



92-95 models have inserted front kidney grills

96-98 models have protruding front kidney grills



There are a number of engine differences, such as the upgraded displacement of the 96+ M3s from the 95- M3s. The intake manifold differs with the age too (95 and below have bigger manifolds) and other differences such as water pumps, hosing, etc etc.



If you're thinking of getting an M3, you can't go wrong with any year/type! You can always add stuff to a luxury model anyways ~_^ *hint hint*

I have no spoiler on my car - sports package. I think it was still an option.

Actually, there is no "sports package". All "base" M3's come with the Vaders. It was an upgrade to go to the luxury package, which removes some of the more "sporty" options.

M3 sedan does not have vaders.

what's the difference in the obc?



I didn't know about the heated windshield washer spouts until I read that link - so sad : ( I want those...
