The perfect track car. Too bad I'm a little light in the wallet.

Moved to e36 forum as requested.

      WOW, only 110 made??

My dad use to have a E36 in 95 with all the dinan goodies, he happens to be a partner in some dealerships and they got a lightwt in on a trade or something like thet, and he drove it a bit. He could have very well bought it if he really liked it, but he said that he really didn't feel like it was any faster than his modded M3, and he didn't really care for the wing and lack of ammenities, but that would be a fun car to have.

How much does a lightweight weigh compared to our current cars?

Is it really worth the money?

For like half of that, you could get a good M3 and do a hell of a lot of mods to it. Hell, you're along the way to a turbo if you want, or you could buy lots of CF stuff, LTW wheels, rip out the interior...etc.

I don't know if it's worth it other than to say, "look at me, I have 1 of 110 cars".

Is not only the weight is also the suspension.... I think the lightweight is 400 pounds lighter than the regular one, Aluminum doors, no sunroof, no stereo, no A/C, different oil pump. Also the ratio is like the one's from 96 to 99.

            Nice car but really expensive.

keep in mind that it also has 350+ hp and is a limited edition. what your saying is almost like buying a classic car that is stock for 100 grand when you could buy a new m3 with lots of mods + money to spare.

If I'm not mistaken this is the one that has a Euro swap.

Hold the boat...let's compare market value 9 years later. Compared to what the average 95 M3 is worth, I would say there's some value to having the LTW. What's it worth now...about double a plain-jane?

Hell, just the fact that there's this thread about it's sale says something.

It doesn't have the euro motor, it has the same that the 1995 had but they choose the best engines (putting down morw power) by hand.

the hand picked engine routine is rumor, but i think there is a good chance it's true.

Even if it was true, there is not an extra 110 HP to be found just laying around.

Either this M3 has been extensively modded, or the 350 HP is a lie. Even the best M3 engine will only vary by 10 HP or so than the average M3 engine.
