i got the clifford rsx 3.5... its been good too me for a while, but after a bit, the alarm starts acting up on me... sometimes i can't start the car b/c of the alarm... usually i'd have to wait when i got the car "on" and wait till the oil change light, doors lock, etc to start the car (not cold start). I should take the M back to the shop and get it check if it's their fault or the alarms, but just been too busy. Well, once my friend took his e46 M to get a service done... the spokesperson even said clifford alarms are a no-no for bmw's electrical. He said that you should stick to the stock alarm, it's essentially got everything you need. Also when the employee sticked my friends key into this "thing" that displays the mileage, it read a lower mileage (keys holds in the mileage everytime used) than what it says on odo. It's not a big problem but it can cause confusion or trouble with the dealers. For auto-start, you need a extra key inside your car. I'm guessing when you use the auto start, the miles go inside the "hidden" key in your car. The dealer still did the service for my friend. They guessed the other miles was in his sister's spare key.
