    remote c/locking

When I got my M3 (1999 Uk evolution cabrio) I got two remote door modules, only one of them has ever worked, even changing batteries etc, it does transmit, because it blocks the other if you try them at the same time.

Any body know how to "log" the second key-fob to the car?

Thanks for the tip dude. Searched and found the instructions and have now tried it about 10 times, still refuses to go into Learning mode?

      Any other thoughts?

It sounds like your module is broken.

If you have the Alpine factory alarm as I do on my '97, you can just buy an new module off of eBay and program it.

The dealer knows how to do it. If you take your car over there, they may just do it for you for free. Although I have a feeling you can only have one programmed at a time.

I'm pretty sure the module is OK as it 'blocks' the other one. I'm sure I could register it if I could get the alarm in Learning Mode, just can't seem to make it want to learn (bit like my kids really!). The alarm is factory but the car is late 1999, one of the last E36 M3's I believe, I just wonder if they changed the learning procedure?
