    How hot do headlights get?

Hey guys, I bought this set of Bosch Housings that have 4100k HID's in them, but the projector came loose.

So, I have to epoxy it back in.

I bought some expoxy that is meant for plastics and can withstand temps up to 200 degrees Farenheit.

    Is that enough?

they didn't have anything stronger at the hardware store.

    Thoughts?

I'm using it to reconnect the projectors to the housings.

Can you return it and get a new one instead..it should break like that? At 140 F you will not be able to put your finger on it, too hot. It also depends on the type of material and finish that you are applying the epoxy to. Also vibration...

Well, okay, I'll be honest. I broke the thing myself because I'm stupid.

      So, I'm stuck with this.

It looks like there was some kind of epoxy stuff holding it on before. So, I'm just going to overkill it with epoxy and I might mount some extra small pieces of wood on there for support.

It's not going to touch the bulb or anything, so I think I'll be okay.

You might use some sand paper to rough up the plastic before applying the epoxy. Some auto parts store may carry epoxy for cars. It is a plastic part? You can leave out the wood. Take a picture of it and email it to me if you want. Sounds like it will work out for you.

Hey man, thanks for the offer, but I went ahead and did it...no wooden things.

          All Epoxy.

I have enough in there to hold this thing tight if I drive off a cliff.

          Thanks!
