Had a new clutch installed...now have problem, the car stalls after release of clutch...anyone have any suggestions to what may cause this???

Wow, no matter how hard you rev it?
Like, if you let it out super duper slowly and ride the thing to death, it'll just automatically stall?
Does it stall in neutral too? -
Sure does....
rolls in neutral with the motor off
wont roll in gear
Sounds like a vacuum leak...can't blip the throttle w/o stalling.
Possibly from tilting the motor to ge the top bolts...

The current thinking is that the frickin disc is in backwards. They are removing the tranny as i write to verify.Comment

As he had never done a BMW before he didn't realize that the orientation is indicated by the words Motorside (in german) written on the disc...the other side has an M stamped on it and thats what he used as the orientation indicator.
He pulled the tranny out, reversed the disc, and all is well.Comment

He just wasted a whole lot of his time and yours with a 2 minute mistake.
