How serious is the CEL. Must I change the sensor ASAP?

i remembered when mine went on i drove the car for a little bit. I'm not sure how bad it is but nothing happened to my car. I bought the oxygen sensor from www.bimmerparts.com They had the cheapest price on it that I could find. you should change it soon though. I know that you shouldn't be able to pass emissions with a bad O2 sensor, get bad gas mileage, and not have as good of performance.

It doesn't really seem to be running bad or anything, although I've been going extra easy. Will it just run rich as a default?

Actually, Bimmerzone has it for cheaper. I don't know how they do it but they beat EVERYONE's price. Damn, they kick arse.
