    Coilover Kit Arrived!!!

Well, after a very long week and a half, my Ground Control Coilover kit arrived via UPS. It's the track/school kit with 450# front & 525# rear springs. The orginal suspension with 75k hard miles was in need of some work and what better way to repair, than to replace with coilovers:thumbsup:

I plan on installing it this weekend and will keep everyone up to date. I'll have the before/after and installation pics up sometime next week.

Here's the kit prior to installation...

Man you are going to love them for the look and of course the handling. Let me know if you have any questions on the install. Do you have air tools?

I have a friend with air tools that's going to help with the install (we did his wifes E34 two weeks ago) and he's done his 95 E36 before so it should go pretty smooth.

Purple, don't you have the same ground control kit??? Street/Track w/ 6" springs? If so, how low do you have the spring perches and where do you have your shocks set for daily driving? Just getting input on where a good starting point for the setup.

        Thanks,

great choice, i have the same setup. I left my shocks where GC setup them. I'm at 13" front and 11.75" rear ride heights. The height adjustment is the most PITA part of the install. Set your best guess when you put them in, then drive it around and measure. Each turn of the front adjuster is 1/8" change in ride height and each turn of the rear adjuster is 1/4" change in ride height.
