    Amazing new supercharger

Have any of you seen this before? It looks too good to be true. The dyno graphs look better than the AA turbo at the same boost. If this is for real, I want it! I wonder how much it will cost...

Is that one of those positive displacement or roots blowers that gives you the flat torque curve?

        Its looks pretty awesome!

yes the current prices on SCs and Turbos are ridulous for our cars.. straight up price gouging. there is no reason it should be anymore other than it sits in a BMW.

              psises me off.

...and the whole demand thing. You need to remember how many people buys these. For a Mustang or Camaro you can get a supercharger dirt cheap. Same for a Miata or F-150. Only so many people have M's and out of those limited number of people only so many would even consider getting forced induction. Add onto that the electronics on BMW's(much more complicated than a Ford or Chevy) and you have yourself an expensive S/C. Oh yeah, have you ever checked out the prices on blowers for G35's? Not much better.

no setup for the 3.0, the e46 is their next project.

                        Yeah, it's really a catch 22.

They are expensive because there are not that many people willing to pay $7k. However, I feel if they were priced at ~$4.5k A LOT more people would consider buying them, and some people would actually look into buy the E36 because they have the option to get a decent price on FI.

I for one would be very interested in getting that SC for 4500, but at 7k? sounds like i'll hafta win the lotto first :nixweiss: anyone with any experience on how much it actually costs them to make a SC?

from my minimal knowledge i could see it costing them 1000 dollars to produce one, then bumping the price for like a 6k profit sounds ubsurd

haha..........lets say i was looking to get this supercharger, what parts does a supercharger replace that would be pointless to get now? for example, i heard if you were to get a turbo charger it comes with its own exhaust piece, so upgrading your exhaust now would be pointless

does this in any way pertain to a SC?
