    Dyno'd Today.

Lowest power numbers ever, but so be it. It isn't off my last dyno enough to raise any real alarms. :\

AA LTW flywheel and HD clutch

      B&B Tri-Flo

      Dinan Stage II SW

      JC CAI

      Fan delete

The only thing I changed from the last time I dyno'd the car was the fan delete, and I lost 2 whp and 1 ft/lb. The dyno run that I posted in the stickied thread was back when I had the crank UDP, which I am now sorely missing.

I thought you had the UUC U system.

But maybe the numbers will be different when on the roll.

So I was looking on the pinned dynos and saw the stock engine produces 208 whp, is that right? So you only gain 10 whp with all your mods? I was planning to do chip intake and HFM but I was hoping to get a little more gain than that. I was looking at tuner motorsports and they claim 32 hp gain from this kit, that should calculate to about 25 whp. So I'm guess the claimed numbers are way off, I guess there is no suprise there. Any thoughts on what kind of Hp gain you get with intake, chip and hfm.

            Two things.

First, I never ran a baseline while stock so I cannot say what my mods did for me - Not all stock E36 M3s run over 200 whp stock, a lot dyno at around 195 to the wheels, so it is impossible to tell.

Secondly, if you are looking at the intake/chip/hfm package, then you have a 95, yes? That car responds much better to modification due to OBDI as opposed to the OBDII found in the 96+ M3s. On a 95 those mods yield a true 270+ crank hp, which isn't too shabby at all.

CMT carmen's numbers are pretty high also but somewhat consistent on a dynojet.....funny your car didn't show higher numbers!!!

This new software update is going to take a little getting used to. :/

Well I hope some day this year I will get money to dyno and to get parts.

CMT I thought you had a rear differential...

I do. A 3.46 with 40% lockup. However the acceleration gains provided by a differential do not show on a dyno - The way it was explained to me was that the dyno does not measure the acceleration of the car, but the power it makes at each specific RPM. I make the same power at any given RPM regardless of the differential, but the 3.46 gear gets me to redline faster - hence there is no power bump on my dyno numbers, but I absolutely destroy other M3s of similar power to mine.

I hope that makes sense somewhat. :help:
