My Car wont Start Plz Help !!

Ok i took out my seats and door panels so i could clean them and when i put the door panels and seats back in the car wont start !!! The computer works/emergency lights work and some other thing work , my alarm/turn signals/headlights/ac and other dont for some reason , and when i try to start it the starter dosent even spin or nothing dosent do anything !!! and on cluster in the right corner there is a light that goes on it a person in a seat and a light behind it. whats wrong ?

do you have power seats? Perhaps somehow you shorted a couple of wires in the power seat connection, or somewhere else. The short may have drained your battery just enough to allow some of your electrical to work but not start. Or maybe you left your dope light on. Happens to the best of us. Did you try to jump it. When I've drained my battery, (yea, dope light) the electrical system really freaked out. It seeme like the problem was much worse than it was. Do the simplest thing first, jump it, if that doesn't work, freak out.

Agreed, get a jump start. You probably drained your battery.

I'll agree with everyone else. When my honda battery died, the whole car was worthless. Almost nothing worked. In the M3 though, usually interior lights still work and some other random things too, but it won't even try to turn over.



It also couldn't hurt to take a peek at your fuse box...you never know if you blew something aside from the battery being dead.

Ok i tried to jump start it and that didnt work. and then i put a battery from 2000 mitsubishi eclipse and that didnt work either . what could be wrong . starter ?

odd.. I wonder if there is some anti theft thing you tripped.. but that would be kinda odd. No one would steal seats out of a car and then try to drive it away.

Just for the hell of it, try another key. I have heard of the chip going bad. Did you say that the A/C and the fan does not turn on either? If not, then you must have blown a fuse somewhere as even if the chip was bad, you coud turn the key to position 2 and have the fan turn on.

i dont have another key. is there a fuse box inside a m3 cause i cant find it

It is in the engine bay. Mabye you blew a fuse somehow?

what about the wires under the steering wheel and glove box any fuses there ? come on any one ?

All the fuses are located in the engine bay. there is a cover that you have to remove, but they are easily accessable

The only fuses that I have ever seen are under the hood. I've been deep under my dash/steering wheel and there are no fuses under there.
