Engine noise,vibration

Got a 97 and recently when placed in gear there is a vibration noise that

actually vibrates the car, almost sounds like the exhaust is rubbing against

the under carriage but it isn't :banghead: . Seems like it is coming from the engine. I know this is vague but I'd rather do some investigating on my own before I turn it over to the dealer, which I have never done to a car in my life.

Yes Auto no wining and the shifts are tight, hmmmm

flywheel bolts ?

My automatic M3 vibrates at idle as well. The idle disappears immediately once I give it any gas. It idles typically around 550.. sometimes it dips down to 500 and the vibration is very noticable.



I talked to a couple other M3 auto owners and they also experience a slight vibration throughout the car at idle.

Yep, as an ex-mechanic I wish i could turn that radar off but this will

bug me til I find out what it is... maybe bump the idle ?
