    my bilstein pss9's

i know some of you guys don't like them but i have to say they are unbelievable.

the install went great. it took me an extra week because my hopefull self thought i could get away without rear shock mounts. well, anyone who has take the rear shocks out knows what i am talking about.

well instead of buying mounts i machined them myself out of solid blocks of aluminum and bought some poly bushings for the mounts. i did buy steel reinforcement plates for the inside and it turned out awesome.

in the front i used the stock mounts which were fine but i'm thinking of designing new front mounts and maybe i can make a couple bucks from it. to buy new stck front mounts will cost ya $104 from the dealer, each, or buy catser plates.

well anyway, the suspension is in now and i have driven it for a week. repositioning the sway bar link does not affect the stability or flexability of the front of the car. it moves just as much as it would if it were connected to the shock casing itself. and it's a heavy duty connection compared to the stock sway bar link.

the height adjustment is very nice and easy to move. just a pain to put tires on and off.

the fronts do require wheel spacers but without them it just barely touches. so....when and if i go and buy all new wheels, i think i'll get 7" wheels up front which will eliminate the need for spacers.

i'm not concerned about the sway bar link or the wheel spacers because ofa couple reasons. bilstein offers a lifetime guaruntee on the shocks, no questions asked and this is the company that invented the shock and strut. you really can;t question their credibility.

in the end, they are absolutely amazing. i can only imagine that they are just as good, if not better than ground control or any other after market supplier.

Awesome. Glad that you are happy with them. I'm personally looking towards Ground control in the future, but I guess you cant go wrong with Bilstein.

Can you take a pic of the way the front swaybar mounts? Is it linked to the strut or the control arm?
