Question: How to make my factory alarm chirp?

I finished installing the factory BMW alarm. I seem to have 2 problems. When I arm and disarm the system, there is no chirping sound. The door locks and the flashing LED works, but no chirp. When I test the system and open the door, it seems to work because the siren goes off and the lights starts flashing.



Second question is, I set both DIP switches to the OFF position (HIGH Sensitivity), but when I use my keys to tap the windows (testing), nothing, alarm won't go off. Yes, I'm tapping hard enough and yes, the hole for the microphone is clear.

I believe if you hold down both the Lock and Unlock buttons for about 3 seconds the chirping function will toggle on or off. Try that ....
