Thinking about buying this fella... thoughts?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying this '95 M3 for $13k. What do you guys think?

The mileage is 87000. The car's very clean both interior and exterior. It has the luxury package, 6 disc cd changer, power/heated seats, alarm and keyless entry, etc. The owner, a friend of mine, says, however, that there are 2 problems.



1. power steering rack leaks fluid. what my friend (the owner) says is that because it's quite expensive to repair, what he's been doing is just refill the power steering fluid every month or so.



2. rear shock mounts may need to be replaced.



What do you guys think? Sound like decent deal? Also, does refilling the power steering fluid monthly sound like a viable solution? Or will that cause problems in the long term? How much are the 2 repairs above going to cost me?

That's not a spectacular deal, but it's not a ripoff.

I like it. Green M3s have really grown on me. Very underrated color IMO. Do you know the difference between the luxury package vs regular M3s? I just want to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. (sorry I don't know the answers to your questions)

I'm under the impression that the luxury package refers to the internal wood paneling, the contour rims, leather door panel. Are there other differences?

The main differences that come to mind are the interior trim(like you said), seats, side skirts and front bumper.



Seats - Luxury has sport seats(same as 4 door M3s). Non-lux 2 door M3s have vaders(attached pic).

Side Skirts - Luxury borrows these from the 3 series sport package. Non-lux has a twist to it(see sig).

Front - Luxury has plastic bars. Non-lux has mesh and a lip.

How much does that repair cost? Ballpark? $900?
