New member needs info on Pricing

    Hey everyone!

I got a chance to purchase a silver on black e36 1998 M3 sedan. Its automatic, got the HK sound system, and under 25,000 miles. Its fully loaded with everything except the electronical seats I believe. Car has some type of drop springs (not too sure yet but the front is no gap and rear is tucking slightly) and it has hamaan 18inch wheels (I think thats the brand) with 215 45 18inch tires. Pirelli. The body has a few minor scratches here and there and a few scratches on the front lip of the stock bodykit. The wheels have a few curb marks (small) on the lips and one of the tires has a small chunk missing out of the sidewall.

The price they are asking is $24,995. Is that reasonable or what should I be lookin at to pay.

    Thanks all!

Well, that price is pretty steep. I would think around, 21-23, with the mods. He probably thinks mods raise the value of a car, and not being in "perfect" condition, that is a little pricey. I would see how low he would go, then come back and tell us.

    Good luck,

    Austin

Hey, I checked it out on KBB(kelly blue book), it is worth about 22k. Here is the link: http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.urr?kbb.WA;206671;WA033&98109;sed;p&751;BMW; 1998%20M3&7;BM;AG&

I wouldn't pay nearly that high. The mileage is good, but it's still a bad time for sellers and the #1 concern....it's auto.

That makes these much harder to dump. Most people wouldn't be caught dead with an auto. You either really want/need it, or you can leave it alone. So, he probably hasn't had like tons of people checking out the car.

He might think no one is going to buy it...so haggle the heck out of him.
