Umm...are these tail lights for 2dr?

Hey guys, I feel stupid asking this, but I just realized this seller never actually said whether these tail lights are for a 2dr or 4dr. I saw them and they looked like the 2dr ones, but I wasn't sure. Somehow I got stupid and just bid on them.



He also claims they are OEM.



Thoughts?

They look like the 2dr model but then again I don't really know what the difference in appearance is between the 2dr and 4dr tailights. Maybe is has something to do with the connections to the wiring harness. In any case I would think the odds are with you that they are for a 2dr M3 since that is the most common application.

The thing is that I know that he has a 97...which means he has a 50% chance of having a 2dr.



The 4dr lights look all squatty and bad. No offense to 4 dr guys, but your tail lights aren't nearly as cool.

Ok, I just heard back from the seller and they are indeed 2 dr lights...phew. Thanks for the input guys.

The 2dr lights are rectangles, and the 4dr lights are more like squares. If it is wider than it is tall by a lot, then it is the 2dr. Glad to see you got the right ones.

ya those are def a pic of 2door taillights, but he stole the pic from bavarian bmw i believe. Be careful, another guy on ebay used the same pic, but under another SN and tried to screw me out of almost $200.00. He was from Houston Texas and ended up being the biggest @SSHOLE. Gave me his cell # and picked it up when the auction ended, so i paypaled him and then never emailed or picked up his phone again. Thanks to paypal i got my money back after contesting the payment, so just be careful. And are they oem bmw lights u won? If so good deal.

they are OEM and the guy already talked to me about them being 2 dr lights...so I think he's okay...we'll see though. I paid with a credit card through paypal, so I have double fraud protection there hopefully. Ebay is always a little sketchy.

This auction seems fishy. He doesn't state wether it's for 2DR or 4DR....almost all the REAL auctions do.....

This guy seems like he knows what he's doing.....check out how he tries to get the buyer to send him a check first, something hard copy he can easily go cash. He uses the excuse of "Oh, I don't have paypal right now....but if you guys like paypal then GOOD NEWS! I'm getting one right after you are legally binded to my auction." I'm very skeptical of ebay, not paranoid, just being safe....good luck Allen.
