I just recently purchased a carbon fiber glove box trim piece from www.MKmotorsport.com. I have to say that Milos, the owner, has probably been one of the nicest people i have dealt with over the internet. He was very helpful and very quick to respond. I will definilty purchase products from him again. If anyone is intersted in carbon fiber stuff you should give his site a try.

They don't seem to have much for the E36, at least on their site.

Todd, you are correct.
I do not carry that much of e36 items. I used to sell a ton of CF for e36 cars from 1996 til about 2000/01.

... while I still had my e36 M3 beauty:

Then the intererst shifted to e46. e36 CF stuff slowed down where it was more of a pain than fun - so I 'closed the shop' (It was called www.MKautosport.com)
I am sure MANY folks from this forum who had their cars for awhile remember me ( everyone)
Now I got e46 M3 last November- and carbon fiber junkie that I am - I had to get all CF for my new car
Hence my renewed fire in BMWs and re-opened new web site www.Mkmotorsport.com
More about that here:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=147539
It is still a small operation, but I can get things to people for some rock bottom prices. Naturally now I offer more e46 items.
Whatever little I have for e36 - I post to ebay:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=eworldt rader&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50
If I see that there is an interest in e36 items (and I do not mean 4-5 items here and there), I would seriously consider to stock e36 items as well.
I would like to know what you guys want.
Best regards everyone and happy motoring.
Milos

www.carbon-werks.com
You must have missed the horrible problems and terrible customer service that Brian (97MPWR) had with Evan (buttuh) on bimmerforums. Brian sent his ecis intake cover in as a template, not a core, and ended up not getting it back until 3 months, and alot of emails later. He did get a carbon cover which he said was flimsy and had edges sharp enough to cut him. In the end it turned out fine and he got a new ecis cover..but still he had to go through alot of work . Link to thread below:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum//showthread.php?s=&threadid=145135&highlight=buttuh
With that having been said his updated website looks as though he is now dealing with vendors to be his distributors..so maybe this means the end of crappy products. I also emailed him not long ago about his products and about this negativity surrounding him on bimmerforums to which he said it was essentially something that was unfairly blown out of proportion.

Milos,
Did interest really shift or is there just a perception that the E46 people might have deeper pockets? It has been my observation that the less expensive great cars are, the more active & healthy (from a consumer's standpoint) their tuning market. Witness the vastly larger VW market. What bothers me is that certain vendors & manufacturers charge much higher prices for the essentially the same items for Mercedes/Porsche/BMW products. I think there is a noticable price hike for most comparable items for an E46 BMW versus an E36 BMW as well.
I'm quite sure there were more E36s sold, especially M3s. I personally don't shop places that have a couple of token E36 items, but mostly sell E46 goods. Particularly when they formerly sold lots of E36 stuff. There are plenty of vendors more dedicated to the E36 platform.
