    Starting Problem

HELP! When I get into my car, sometimes my car doesn't start at all... All of the electrical turns on (brake light, radio, ac, etc.) and once I turn the key to start the engine , it just doesn't start at all. This happened a couple months ago and usually it would just start on the 3rd try... but just today i was sitting in the parking lot trying to start my car 20-30 times. I even tried auto-starting, but that didn't work. When I tried to call my friend to ask him what should I do, about a couple minutes later i tried again and it STARTED!

Any body have the same problems? or solutions to this?

I do have a Clifford Alarm but i dont think that was the problem b/c i tried the autostart and it attempted to start my car, so it couldn't be that...

how many miles on your M.. it might be the starter.. they tend to stop working when it gets warm when they go bad.. also i'd check the starter kill wires. or clutch switch.

yeah i have the clifford rsx 3.5 alarm, wasn't that what your trying to get? my brother's a mechanic and he thinks the cause of the car not starting might be the alarm. he told me that the alarm might of drawn the power of the battery.. mayb all i need is a new battery. The battery is still oem and it's been 4-5 years (i believe you need to change it every 4-5years?). I've also heard stories that the flashing led's can drain the battery....

Yeah, I got the alarm and haven't installed it yet. I'm still waiting for my window modules to come in. Right now I've got the rs 2. Your alarms starter kill might be the problem. Who installed your alarm? If it was done at a shop, i'd take it in and have them swap out the brain.
