hi, i own an UK Evo coupe and i was wondering does anyone have rear electric windows ?

Does anyone know where i can get it fitted or buy a kit and how much it would cost ?. I reckon having rear electric windows on a coupe is the DOGz BOLLOCKZ

the cheapest thing I can think of is to let your GF/Wife only sit in the back. Then all you need to do is tell her to open or close them. As far as installation is concerned it is very easy. Open your door, either side will do. Tilt the seat forward for clearance, and place the opening unit in the middle seat. Place the lapbelt over the unit and connect it to its respective clasp. I reccomend the middle seat because the auto opener is more centralized to both sides. I would check roof clearance as if you get a unit that is too high, it could block your view out the back window. From there, tilt the seat back to the original position, and presto, installation is done.

i think it was a very rare option.. but im not sure how to go about installing them.. i would have loved to have them.. cause it is really annoying having to reach back all the time..

as for posting pics.. they have to be of proper size.. u can upload them to the gallery or u can upload them to a thread as an attachment..

I thought that the E46 was the first model to have the electric rear window feature.

Why bother? I never open mine anyway.

Is this some option that everyone desparately wants?

Do at your own risk. It does not sound like fun.

                    ^^^ What they said.

But don't order the ZKW parts specifically, they're more commonly found on the US cars. Just use the part number and leave the "ZKW" bit off.

I've priced this up and will do it at some stage but the cost is like over NZ$1,000...

On that logun site they also had a headlight washer kit. That whole retrofit would cost you upwards of 1k too!

This stuff is way too costly for a car that isn't worth more than 15-25k depending on year.

Just save the money and put it towards a new car a few years down the line. You'll thank yourselves later.

The bits for the electric rears can still be purchased as a kit in the UK from BMW.

I think it is about £200 plus fitting.

The parts are detailed in the current 3 series accessory hand book. The e36 coupe options are identified by a brown dot.

If you cant find the info let me know and I will post part numbers etc.

                        Hope this helps.
